Company Overview: Our client, originally established in Shanghai, has expanded its operations to Rotterdam since July-August 2022. With a goal to increase sales across Europe, offering warehousing in Asia, freight forwarding services, and liner services. The Rotterdam office currently has a close-knit team of six, and they are looking to grow their sales team to ten people, both inside and outside sales.
Job Description: Our client is seeking a dynamic and experienced Mid-Senior Sales Manager to join their team. This role requires a strong sales profile with logistics experience, focusing on outside sales and being on the road. The ideal candidate will be responsible for driving sales growth, managing key accounts, and expanding market presence in Europe.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute sales strategies to increase market share and achieve sales targets.
- Manage and grow relationships with key clients, including major accounts in Poland and other regions.
- Operate and sell space on their shipping line, particularly with their carrier partner
- Collaborate with the CEO and sales team on a weekly basis to review pipelines and share ideas.
- Adapt to market changes, particularly in ocean freight rates, and develop innovative sales approaches.
- Work closely with the operations team to ensure seamless service delivery.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in sales within the logistics industry.
- Fluent in Dutch and English; German is a plus.
- Ability to work independently and take calculated risks.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
