A prominent aerospace manufacturer is looking for an experienced Director of Quality to spearhead the Quality team. This role involves developing and overseeing a comprehensive quality assurance program to ensure that products consistently meet established standards. The Director will ensure that all processes, products, and services delivered to customers adhere to customer, regulatory, and company requirements throughout every phase of the product lifecycle.
The Director of Quality will have the following responsibilities:
- Expertly interpret and apply regulatory and customer requirements to ensure compliance and quality assurance.
- Drive continuous improvement by refining processes and organizational structures, aligning with operational excellence goals, and adhering to Company Quality policies and strategies.
- Build and enhance the Quality Network within the BU, and support the Group, Branch, and Division Quality Networks, promoting collaboration.
- Set and implement quality targets, ensuring they align with strategic planning.
- Champion and mentor Company Problem Solving, fostering a culture of innovation.
- Ensure that all products and quality processes meet or exceed regulatory requirements and customer expectations.
- Liaise with Management on Quality issues, including crises, alerts, and compliance risks.
- Ensure adherence to customer, regulatory, and Company requirements, with a focus on sustainability and continuous improvement.
The ideal Director of Quality candidate will have the following skillset:
- Bachelor's Degree required; a degree in Engineering, Quality, or a related technical field is advantageous.
- 10+ years of experience in supervising or managing Quality Assurance operations.
- Proficient knowledge of AS9100 standards and FAA regulations.
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
- Familiarity with government specifications for Quality Assurance programs.
- Experience with product and operational audits, including regulatory audits.
