Procurement Specialist

A leading consumer manufacturer is looking to hire a Procurement Specialist. This strategic leader, responsible for optimizing the procurement team by establishing best practices and governance and by providing high quality analytics to support business decision-making. This company has seen tremendous growth and is now looking for the next person who can bring their knowledge to the group to help keep pushing forward.
The Procurement Specialist will be responsible for the following:
- Work closely with Commodity Managers to identify best practices for sourcing, negotiation, contract management, supplier relationship management, purchasing practices, and governance for Procurement
- Develop and leverage data analytics to measure performance, identify cost reduction opportunities, and drive continuous improvement
- Collaborate with Operations, Sales, and Marketing to monitor production levels and ensure proper supply
- Lead their documentation, automation, and implementation across systems, technologies, and published policy
The Procurement Specialist Should Have the Following Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience in procurement Expertise in negotiations and contracting
- Proven experience in implementing and/or optimizing procurement processes
- Excellent planning and time management skills
- Interpersonal and communication skills
- Strong time management skills
This is a full time permanent position that will be primarily on-site in Dallas, TX
