In this dynamic position, you will play a key role in managing and overseeing the logistics of various international shipments-from machinery and equipment to perishable goods, relief supplies, and more. As an Ocean Export Logistics Specialist, you'll be an integral part of our sea freight export team, working alongside colleagues to ensure that every step of the process runs smoothly, from start to finish.
Your Responsibilities:
- Shipment Coordination: Take charge of scheduling and managing FCL and LCL export shipments. Your role will involve preparing all necessary documentation and overseeing the flow of goods from start to finish.
- Client Communication: You will serve as the point of contact for customer inquiries, offering expert advice and ensuring clarity throughout the process.
- Risk and Feasibility Assessments: Analyze each shipment for risks and assess the feasibility of various transport options. You'll also evaluate costs and work directly with the Ocean Logistics Manager to determine the best approach.
- Carrier Selection and Contracting: Choose the right carriers for each shipment, negotiate contracts, and organize any required additional services to ensure smooth transport.
- Invoicing and Billing: You'll be responsible for generating outgoing invoices, reviewing incoming invoices, and ensuring all financial records are accurate within our systems.
- Problem Resolution and Project Handling: From addressing complaints to managing special project shipments, you'll ensure that every task is completed to satisfaction, no matter how complex.
What You'll Bring:
- A proactive attitude toward problem-solving, with a passion for tackling complex logistics challenges.
- Strong commercial experience, preferably in logistics, shipping, or a related field, with a clear understanding of export operations.
- Proficiency in English and/or German; French is essential.
- Excellent communication skills, both in writing and verbally, with the ability to navigate delicate situations with diplomacy.
- A team-oriented mindset combined with a sense of responsibility and strong organizational skills.

- A structured and independent approach to work, able to handle multiple tasks at once while ensuring accuracy.
