Responsibilities:
The Corporate Controls MES Engineer will be responsible for a wide range of duties related to research, application development, documentation, training, troubleshooting, and maintenance. Key responsibilities include:
- Enhancing the AVEVA/Wonderware Archestra Control System to support MES applications, ensuring required MES functionality and operational data availability.
- Managing and supporting AVEVA's Operations, Performance, and Quality MES modules.
- Integrating and maintaining Rockwell PLCs to ensure proper MES data and functionality.
- Implementing data feeds to external partners via Microsoft SQL Server Integration Services (2019+).
- Administering Microsoft Server, SQL Server (2019+), and Microsoft Reporting Services.
- Developing and delivering Power BI reports to enable effective data visualization and decision-making.
- Collecting and understanding business requirements for data visualization and analysis.
- Collaborating with engineers and analysts to acquire, clean, and transform data for reporting purposes.
Skills and Experience Requirements:
The ideal candidate will possess most of the following qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience in an engineering role in manufacturing, preferably within the Food & Beverage, Chemical, Plastics, Consumer Goods, or related industries.
- Proficiency in Ladder Logic Programming with Allen Bradley PLCs (ControlLogix).
- Advanced experience in HMI system development, including systems such as Rockwell FactoryTalk View SE, AVEVA Wonderware Archestra, iFix, and Ignition.
- Expertise with SQL Server and SQL database systems.
- Strong experience with SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS), SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS), and Excel.
- Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
- Capability to write, update, and troubleshoot existing SQL queries.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
- Adaptability to changing business requirements.
- Exceptional communication skills (both formal and informal), along with strong collaboration abilities, a professional attitude, and appearance.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (MS Office).
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with Wonderware (AVEVA) ArchestrA System Platform.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Visual Studio C#.
- Experience with Ethernet/IP Communication within a Plant Control System.
- Experience with AVEVA MES, or similar Manufacturing Execution System (MES) platforms.
- Knowledge of the .NET programming environment.
- Experience in Power BI report development, including data modeling, reports, and dashboards.
- Strong understanding of data modeling and data visualization principles.
- Proficiency in Data Analysis Expressions (DAX) for creating calculations.
- Familiarity with data warehouse concepts and other data visualization tools.
- Power BI certifications are a plus.
Employment Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Science in an engineering-related discipline from an accredited college/university.
- Willingness to travel up to 25%.
