Director of Warehouse Operations Summary:
The Director of Warehouse Operations position is responsible for overseeing inbound and outbound warehouse operations. The role involves managing various aspects, including product receiving, replenishment, order selection, loading, expense and revenue management, regulatory compliance, and ensuring the safety and security of warehouse operations.
Responsibilities of the Warehouse Operations Director:
- Oversee the daily work and safety of Inbound and Outbound Warehouse managers, supervisors, and associates.
- Manage labor hours and consumable supplies within budget and work schedules.
- Supervise the selection, purchase, and utilization of Company assets for warehouse operations.
- Coordinate with other departments for efficient upgrades and repairs.
- Develop business relationships with third-party vendors, ensuring efficient operations.
- Maintain insurance certificates and agreements for all contracted vendors.
- Review shipping and loading audits daily, ensuring accurate documentation and proper handling of materials.
- Prepare budgets, profit plans, and capital requests.
- Ensure the use and updating of receiving, selection, and loading software systems.
- Maintain open communication channels with associates, addressing questions and explaining policies.
- Make recommendations for disciplinary action and/or behavior modification.
- Execute management functions of staff selection, development, discipline, performance reviews, and terminations.
- Perform duties of supervised associates and other related tasks as needed.
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulatory agencies.
Qualifications:
Education:
- Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent combination of education and related experience.
Experience:
- 7 years of related experience and/or training.
Certificates, Licenses, and Registrations:
- Obtain a Powered Industrial Equipment Certification within 3 months.
