Summary:
The Vice President of Local Sales will lead a large, dynamic team in driving sales growth targeted within the restaurant segment in southern California. This key role requires a proven track record of success in sales leadership and the ability to manage a substantial team. The ideal candidate will bring energy, integrity, and a commitment to building a high-performance team, while effectively managing a significant revenue base. They will foster cross-functional collaboration and will be actively involved in customer interactions, providing a boots-on-the-ground approach when needed.
The Vice President of Local Sales will have the following responsibilities:
- Lead a team of 100+ sales staff, pushing initiatives and strategies, while coaching sales management professionals to improve their performance and business effectiveness, ensuring a strong pipeline.
- Coordinate sales distribution, establish and assign sales territories, quotas, and goals, while guiding sales managers in developing and approving goals and performance budgets.
- Develop and manage annual sales plans and programs, participate in long-range planning, and introduce new strategies.
- Ensure compliance with government regulations, company policies, and industry standards.
- Collaborate on sales growth initiatives and assist in selecting new products.
- Actively engage with customers, including restaurant chains and independent restaurants, to understand their needs and drive sales growth.
- Work closely with operations, merchandising, and finance teams to ensure alignment and achieve business objectives.
The Vice President of Local Sales will have the following requirements and skill sets:
- B.S. Business Administration, Sales and Marketing, or related fields
- Minimum of 5 years of managerial or supervisor experience
- Proven track record of success in sales leadership.
- Experience managing large teams, including tenured Managers
- Strong background in the food service industry, particularly in sales to independent restaurants and restaurant chains.
- Experience managing significant revenue, ideally $600M to $1.4B.
- Strong customer relationship skills and the ability to inspire and lead a high-performance team.
