Role Overview: They are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Tender Manager to join their team. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of progression within their previous company and possess strong analytical skills, coupled with deep experience in tender management. This role is pivotal to ensuring that our tender processes align with our company's philosophy as we move toward a more digital and integrated approach to logistics.
Key Responsibilities:
- Tender Process Management: Oversee the end-to-end tender process, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and alignment with company goals.
- Data & Analytics: Leverage data-driven insights to conduct scenario analysis and optimise tender submissions. Ensure that all tender-related decisions are backed by robust data analysis.
- Digital Transformation: Support and drive the integration of digital tools and technologies in tender processes, ensuring seamless alignment between software and hardware.
- Negotiations: Lead both internal and external negotiations, working closely with stakeholders, customers, and the sales team to secure favourable outcomes.
- Stakeholder Alignment: Collaborate with internal teams to ensure all tender submissions reflect the strategic objectives and meet the expectations of stakeholders.
- Customer Engagement: Build strong relationships with customers, understanding their needs and providing tailored solutions that meet their requirements.
- Communication: Present and articulate tender strategies, progress, and outcomes to internal stakeholders and external clients. Ensure clarity, professionalism, and engagement in all communications.
Qualifications:
- Experience: A minimum of 5 years of experience in the logistics industry, with a strong focus on air and ocean freight. Proven career progression within a company is essential.
- Analytical Skills: Strong data and analytical skills, with the ability to perform scenario analysis and make data-driven decisions.
- Digital Savvy: Experience with digital tools and technologies in the logistics or freight forwarding industry is preferred.
- Language Skills: Proficiency in both German and English is required.
- Negotiation Skills: Proven experience in conducting successful negotiations with both internal and external stakeholders.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills in both German and English, with the ability to engage both cross functional teams and clients.
