We are seeking an experienced and motivated Technical Project Buyer to join our client's team, a leading automotive company based in Dortmund. As part of this role, you will be responsible for direct procurement activities related to technical projects while ensuring compliance with quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Direct Procurement
* Develop relationships with suppliers and negotiate contracts.
* Monitor supplier performance regularly through KPIs.
Procurement
* Manage end-to-end purchasing processes from identifying requirements to delivery of goods/services at competitive prices within tight deadlines.
Germany
* Ensure all procurement policies align with German regulations & guidelines specific product designs that meet or exceed customer expectations regarding safety and reliability..
Automotive
* Source materials needed by engineering teams during development stages; e.g., parts specifications sheets (PSS), bill-of-material lists(BOM)
Qualifications/Experience Required:
- A degree in Business Administration, Engineering or relevant field is preferred but not essential if work experience compensates it
- Minimum five years' experience working directly within project-based Direct Procurement roles,
- Good understanding/knowledge about industry-specific terminologies used throughout supply chain management software applications;
- Knowledgeable about SAP systems especially sourcing-related modules like SRM/SAP-MM etc.;
- Excellent communication skills both written & verbal;
- Strong analytical thinking abilities
- Good level of German
