Role Overview:
As the Supply Chain Director, you will be responsible for managing and optimizing the end-to-end supply chain process, ensuring smooth collaboration between manufacturing facilities in Asia and operations across EMEA. You will oversee supply and demand planning, logistics coordination, stock level optimization, and third-party logistics (3PL) partnerships to ensure timely and efficient delivery of products. Working closely with internal teams, including sales and production planning, you will drive continuous improvements, implement best practices, and enhance overall supply chain efficiency. This strategic leadership role requires a proactive approach to solving complex supply chain challenges in a dynamic, customer-driven environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage supply and demand planning between global manufacturing sites and customers in the EMEA region.
- Oversee inbound shipments from Asia, ensuring smooth customs clearance, repacking, and outbound distribution via 3PL providers.
- Secure and manage 3PL resources to handle logistics operations efficiently.
- Optimize stock levels in European hubs/warehouses to align with business needs and customer demand.
- Develop and implement processes for supply level simulation, production planning, and delivery scheduling.
- Represent third-party logistics and warehouse providers, ensuring seamless outbound shipment status updates to customers.
- Collaborate with sales account managers to address new customer requirements and optimize supply chain processes.
- Establish and refine logistics strategies to enhance operational efficiency and customer satisfaction.
- Conduct monthly business reviews (MBR) and monitor KPIs with service providers to drive continuous improvements.
- Negotiate and manage relationships with key supply chain partners, including warehouses and freight forwarders.
Qualifications:
- 10+ years of experience in supply chain management within the automotive logistics sector.
- Strong expertise in handling dynamic supply and demand planning activities.
- Extensive experience in SAP and other supply chain operating systems.
- Proven ability to lead and optimize complex supply chain operations.
- Strong negotiation and collaboration skills to drive strategic initiatives.
- Customer-focused mindset with keen attention to detail and a results-driven approach.
