Job Description:
We are currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Strategic Sourcing Manager to join our team. You will play a crucial role in developing and implementing sourcing strategies to optimise our supply chain and drive cost savings, especially during our period of growth.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute comprehensive sourcing strategies aligned with business objectives to ensure a reliable and cost-effective supply of materials, components, and services.
- Identify, evaluate, and select strategic suppliers based on criteria such as quality, cost, delivery, and innovation, while fostering strong partnerships to drive continuous improvement.
- Negotiate supplier agreements, contracts, and pricing terms to achieve optimal value, mitigate risks, and maximise savings.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with internal stakeholders, including engineering, manufacturing, and quality assurance teams, to understand requirements and drive alignment on sourcing initiatives.
- Conduct market research and analysis to identify emerging trends, risks, and opportunities, and develop proactive strategies to address them.
- Monitor supplier performance against key performance indicators (KPIs) and drive corrective actions as necessary to ensure adherence to quality, delivery, and cost targets.
- Drive supplier development and improvement initiatives, including capacity planning, process optimisation, and quality assurance.
- Stay abreast of industry best practices, market dynamics, and regulatory requirements relevant to strategic sourcing and supply chain management.
Qualifications:
- Strong negotiation skills and demonstrated ability to drive cost savings and value creation through effective supplier management.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a data-driven approach to decision-making.
- Proficiency in procurement and supply chain management tools, ERP systems, and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and influence stakeholders at all levels of the organisation.
- Willingness to travel domestically and internationally as needed.
