Sr. Project Manager - Heavy Manufacturing/Shipbuilding

Are you a results-driven project management professional with experience in planning, budgeting, and earned value management? We're seeking a Senior Project Manager to lead engineering and planning efforts for complex manufacturing projects in a dynamic, high-performing environment. While shipbuilding expertise is a plus, we're also looking for candidates with experience in heavy manufacturing or structural steel fabrication.

• Direct the development of detailed project designs, including technical specifications, structural layouts, machinery, piping systems, and compliance with regulatory standards.
• Review and approve construction drawings, specifications, and engineering documentation.
• Manage project schedules, financial reviews, and budget updates to ensure projects meet timeline and cost goals.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for regulatory agencies, third-party engineering firms, customer representatives, and internal teams to secure necessary certifications and approvals.
• Report on project progress to senior leadership, including milestone tracking and issue resolution.
• Foster strong communication and coordination across cross-functional teams to ensure overall project success.

Required:

• At least 5 years of project management experience in a manufacturing or fabrication environment.
• Demonstrated expertise in planning, budgeting, and earned value management.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools, including Word, Excel, and Project.

Preferred:

• Bachelor's degree in a related field.
• Background in shipyard operations, marine fabrication, or heavy structural steel manufacturing.
• Project Management certification (PMP or equivalent).
• Familiarity with industry regulations such as ABS or USCG standards.

• Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Strong analytical skills with a detail-oriented approach to problem-solving.
• Ability to lead teams effectively while maintaining a collaborative spirit.
• Proven track record of managing complex projects with strategic oversight.
