A leading Chemical Production firm is currently seeking an experienced and driven Sr. Chemical Production Manager to join their team in their state-of-the-art facility in the Hartford, CT area. The Sr. Chemical Production Manager will have the following responsibilities:
- Lead all production activities and ensure compliance with industry and company standards
- Utilize LEAN manufacturing techniques / principles to drive continuous improvement within the facility
- Collaborate with relevant stakeholders in cross functional departments such as Engineering, Finance, Safety, Quality and Procurement
- Ensure production operations are in line with cGMP / GMP standards and similar best practices
- Ensure EH&S compliance
- Develop, implement and uphold operational KPIs
- Strengthen continuous improvement process
- Utilize LEAN principles
The Sr. Chemical Production Manager will have the following qualifications:
- 5+ years' experience leading a production team in a manufacturing environment
- S. in chemical engineering, chemistry or equivalent background
- Working knowledge of Six Sigma and LEAN manufacturing principles
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Experience with preventative/predictive maintenance programs
- GMP or cGMP manufacturing experience a plus
- Specialty chemical manufacturing experience
