About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced Site Manager to lead and oversee our contract logistics operations in Leipzig. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in contract logistics, warehouse management, and supply chain optimisation. This role is pivotal in ensuring the efficient, cost-effective, and high-quality execution of our logistics operations while maintaining strong client relationships and compliance with all regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee daily warehouse and distribution operations to ensure efficiency and productivity.
Manage a team of warehouse, operations, and administrative staff, providing leadership, guidance, and development.
Drive operational excellence through process improvement, cost optimisation, and performance monitoring.
Ensure compliance with safety, legal, and industry regulations.
Act as the primary point of contact for clients and stakeholders, ensuring service level agreements (SLAs) and key performance indicators (KPIs) are met.
Implement and maintain inventory control, logistics planning, and resource allocation strategies.
Develop and manage site budgets, forecasts, and financial reporting.
Lead continuous improvement initiatives, leveraging data and technology to enhance efficiency and service quality.
Collaborate with senior management to align strategic goals with operational execution.
Requirements:
Proven experience (5+ years) in contract logistics, warehousing, or supply chain management.
Strong knowledge of logistics operations, distribution models, and supply chain processes.
Leadership experience, with the ability to manage and develop teams effectively.
Familiarity with WMS (Warehouse Management Systems), TMS (Transportation Management Systems), and other logistics technology.
Strong analytically and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
Ability to work under pressure and adapt to a fast-paced environment.
Fluent in German and English (both written and spoken).
