About Us:
We are seeking a dynamic HS&E Manager to lead our safety and environmental initiatives at our state-of-the-art facility in the Greater Chicago Area. As the HS&E Manager, you will play a pivotal role in shaping our safety culture and driving sustainability practices.
What You'll Do:
As the HS&E Manager, you will be at the forefront of safety and environmental efforts, leading a team of specialists and engineers. Your responsibilities will include:
- Leading and developing a team of HS&E Specialists and Process Safety Engineers.
- Ensuring compliance with SH&E regulations and standards, both industry-specific and governmental.
- Implementing effective safety training programs and incident investigation procedures.
- Collaborating with plant leadership to drive sustainability initiatives and industrial process safety improvements.
- Serving as a key point of contact for internal and external audits.
- Building a culture of trust, engagement, and transparency around safety practices.

Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in safety, engineering, environmental, or related discipline.
- 8+ years of related experience with 2+ years in an EH&S role in a chemical manufacturing environment.
- Experience managing audits and solid knowledge of relevant regulations (EPA, PSM/RMP, MOC, OSHA, NFPA).
- Proven leadership experience, managing teams of 3+ direct reports.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Advanced degree in safety, environmental, or engineering discipline.
- Experience in chemical, oil & gas industries is highly favored.
- Proficiency in developing and delivering training programs.
- Waste management expertise.
- Knowledge of TPM or SHE Pillar.
- Project management skills, including competitive bidding and contractor supervision.
- Certifications: Green or Black Belt, Certified Safety Professional, Certified Industrial Hygienist.
