Title: Sr. Process Controls Engineer
Location: Shreveport, LA (relocation provided)
Purpose:
Maintain and optimize operational systems, implementing cost-effective solutions and performance improvements. Develop design modifications to address issues and enhance reliability and product quality. Analyze maintenance data and conduct root-cause analyses to ensure effective corrective actions.
Responsibilities:
- Assist with advanced process controls, loop tuning, and PID loop management.
- Configure and implement process control systems including DCS, PLCs, and SCADA.
- Support process control applications, maintenance, and control loop management.
- Provide weekend site coverage as part of an on-call team.
- Configure process control technologies and train process control engineers.
- Support site projects and conduct feasibility studies for process control installations.
- Influence process control project methods and support capital projects.
Required Education/Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering.
- 7+ years of process control engineering experience.
- Preferred experience in refining/petrochemical industry.
- Knowledge of industry standards (ISA/IEC, etc.).
- Proven experience with APC implementation and process optimization.
- Experience with safety systems, PLC programming, and alarm management is a plus.
- Certifications (ISA/IEC/Exida/TUV) preferred.
- On-call rotation required.
