The Senior Manager, Controls and Automation will oversee the design, development, and implementation of control systems across the manufacturing operations. This role will be responsible for leading a team of engineers and technicians in the deployment and maintenance of PLCs, VFDs, SCADA systems, and Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES).
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the Controls and Automation team in the design, programming, and integration of PLC, VFD, SCADA, and MES systems.
- Develop and execute strategies for the continuous improvement of automation processes, ensuring optimal performance and reliability.
- Oversee the installation, commissioning, and troubleshooting of control systems to support production operations.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards, safety regulations, and best practices in all automation projects.
- Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources to ensure successful delivery of automation initiatives.
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to the Controls and Automation team, fostering a culture of innovation and continuous learning.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Automation, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.
- 8+ years of experience in controls and automation within a manufacturing environment.
- Extensive experience with PLC programming, VFDs, SCADA systems, and MES.
- Strong understanding of industrial networks, instrumentation, and control system architectures.
- Proven leadership experience, with the ability to manage and develop high-performing teams.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
