Formal prerequisites for the position (e.g. training, experience, education etc.)
- BA-BS or relevant experience
- Direct material purchasing experience. Preferably including forging and turning.
- Strong negotiation, project management, and problem solving skills
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to travel to suppliers regularly
Tasks (Description of main tasks)
- Provide commodity leadership
- Close cooperation within the region as well as with the headquarters in Germany
- Negotiation and implementation of yearly cost savings
- Development and implementation of commodity strategy
- Cost recovery of quality and logistics issues
- First level of escalation
