Job Summary
The position involves managing indirect procurement and equipment spending across Southeast Asia, including countries like Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, Thailand, the Philippines, and Vietnam. The role focuses on developing purchasing strategies, leading a procurement team, and collaborating with various business units to optimize costs and improve supply chain processes. The incumbent will report to the Senior Procurement Manager for Southeast Asia.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the SEA Indirect team in sourcing strategy development and savings initiatives.
- Apply Total Delivered Cost (TDC) tools to execute sourcing projects.
- Collaborate with business units and supply chains to drive cost reductions.
- Evaluate vendor reliability and service levels, addressing any material issues.
- Engage with suppliers and internal stakeholders to improve processes.
- Assemble contracts to secure supply and meet procurement goals.
- Work with the Supply Chain team to establish long-term procurement strategies.
Skills Needed
- Experience: 6-8 years total, with at least 5 years in procurement leadership.
- Knowledge: Sourcing and procurement strategies; market analysis.
- Leadership: Strong capabilities in leading teams and negotiating.
- Analytical Skills: Aptitude for decision-making and numerical analysis.
- Communication: Proficiency in English (oral and written).
- Education: Bachelor's degree in relevant fields such as purchasing, engineering, chemistry, or supply chain management.
