Position Overview: Our client, a global leader in the logistics and freight forwarding industry, is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Sales Manager specialising in Contract Logistics. This is a hybrid role, offering flexibility to work both remotely and in-office. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving sales growth on both national and international levels, with a focus on integrated sales, warehousing, and contract logistics solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute sales strategies: Identify and target new business opportunities in the contract logistics sector, particularly within the automotive, FMCG, lifestyle, and technology verticals.
- Client relationship management: Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with key clients, ensuring high levels of client satisfaction and retention.
- Contract negotiation: Lead negotiations for complex contracts, ensuring favourable terms for both the company and the client.
- Cross-functional collaboration: Work closely with internal teams, including operations, finance, and customer service, to ensure seamless delivery of logistics solutions that meet client needs.
- Market analysis: Stay informed on industry trends, competitor activities, and market conditions to identify growth opportunities and potential risks.
- Sales performance tracking: Monitor and report on sales performance metrics, ensuring that targets are met or exceeded.
- International expansion: Drive business growth by expanding the company's footprint in international markets, leveraging your deep knowledge of global logistics and supply chain management.
Requirements:
- Proven sales experience: Minimum of 5 years in a sales management role within the logistics industry, with a strong emphasis on contract logistics, warehousing, and integrated sales solutions.
- Industry knowledge: In-depth understanding of the automotive, FMCG, lifestyle, and technology sectors, with a proven track record of success in these verticals.
- Language proficiency: Fluency in both French and English is essential.
- Strong negotiation skills: Demonstrated ability to negotiate and close complex contracts with high-value clients.
- Hybrid working capability: Comfortable working in a hybrid environment, with the ability to manage both remote and in-office responsibilities effectively.
- International experience: Proven experience working on international accounts, with a strong understanding of global logistics and supply chain dynamics.
