A leading industrial manufacturing company is seeking a Sales Engineer. You will be responsible for offering technical support and solutions to both the sales team and customers, from the pre-sale phase through to installation and implementation. You maintain a deep understanding of complex product and system aspects and analyze customer requirements to show how company solutions can add value and support their organization. You will configure technical solutions for customers, ensuring successful integration. Additionally, you address client questions about product functionality and usage, resolving any sales support issues. You also provide technical consultation and knowledge transfer to sales staff, trainers, and product support teams.
Responsibilities for the Sales Engineer:
- Provide technical support, including application assistance, documentation, and specifications.
- Identify new projects and opportunities.
- Build long-term relationships with key firms and influencers.
- Support firms with technical documentation and application help.
- Deliver presentations to engineering groups.
- Secure Approved Vendor List (AVL) status.
- Obtain project specifications.
- Identify and communicate with targeted OEMs, panel shops, contractors, and integrators.
- Maintain open projects and an accurate contact database.
- Communicate market trends to product management.
Requirements for the Sales Engineer:
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Industrial Studies.
- Engineering background preferred.
- 2+ years of sales experience.
- Possess an aptitude for sales, including the skills and ability to sell.
- Ability to create drawings and product cuts, proficient with AutoCAD.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Proficient and detail oriented with CRM.
