DSJ Global is partnering with a leading chemical manufacturing organization specializing in specialty polymers. Our client is seeking a skilled Mechanical Integrity & Reliability Engineer to oversee and manage their Predictive Maintenance (PdM) program at their Kentucky manufacturing facility. This role is integral to the Mechanical Integrity Program and offers the chance to lead maintenance strategy in a cutting-edge environment.
Job Responsibilities:
- Implement and manage the Predictive Maintenance (PdM) program, including vibration analysis, oil analysis, infrared, and ultrasonic testing.
- Oversee the Mechanical Integrity (MI) program and ensure 100% compliance with site maintenance leaders.
- Manage corporate risk insurance and coordinate audits across multiple sites.
- Review and assess MI reports, Fitness for Service, and necessary repair plans.
- Develop and maintain long-term equipment asset replacement plans, ensuring major equipment is included in the MI program budget.
- Analyze rotating equipment conditions using PdM data (vibration, lube oil, IR, and ultrasound) and evaluate equipment health using critical operating process data.
- Manage PdM and MI databases, conducting equipment history and failure analysis to refine asset management strategies.
- Drive the Site Bad Actor Program and associated metrics, recommending corrective actions where necessary.
- Lead root cause analysis efforts and proactively recommend PM optimization strategies.
- Manage third-party MI inspection services and collaborate with design teams to ensure equipment reliability at commissioning.
- Report on PdM and MI KPIs, tracking cost avoidance, savings, and compliance metrics.
What You'll Bring to the Table:
- Bachelor of Science in Engineering
- Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in predictive maintenance of rotating equipment and database management within a chemical/petrochemical facility.
- At least 10 years of experience evaluating tank, piping, and heat exchanger conditions according to ASME, API, or STI standards.
- Knowledge of the MI section of PSM Compliance is a plus.
- Certification or 5+ years of experience in Vibration Analysis, oil analysis, thermography, and ultrasound analysis is preferred.
- Experience with SAP CMMS is also preferred.
