Location: This role is based out of Cedar Rapids, IA; however, we want to speak with anyone who has a reliability/maintenance engineering background as we are working on a ton of opportunities in the space in various different locations!
Job Description:
As the Reliability Engineer, your responsibilities will include:
- Providing leadership to evaluate and implement appropriate predictive and preventative maintenance strategies and techniques to reach a world class reliability program.
- Directing the Predictive Maintenance (PDM) team in their daily activities, outlining equipment and systems to be evaluated using vibration, ultrasonic and thermographic tools.
- The responsibility and authority to initiate and record actions related to Food Safety.
- Review PDM analysis results together with the PDM team and liaise with applicable teams to plan remedial / corrective repairs.
- Continuous Improvement of the Asset Maintenance Plan including value-added preventive maintenance tasks focusing on: utilization of predictive and other non-destructive testing methodologies, lubrication practices, tools to drive operator asset management, and comprehensive training plans for maintenance employees.
- Review major equipment/systems failures using formal investigative tools and develop and implement PM/PDM tasks to minimize or eliminate unplanned failures.
- Work closely with the Operations Training Coordinator to develop and ensure consistency of training. Develop Standard Repair Procedures (SRP's) in conjunction with other Maintenance supervisory personnel to continue to improve the uniformity and quality of maintenance repairs. Oversee administration of the apprentice training program.
Qualified candidates will have:
- BS in Engineering and 3+ years of relative work experience
- Experience with predictive maintenance strategies.
- Demonstrated strong people skills and an ability to lead, develop and motivate employees and an ability to promote a safe working environment, quality standards and Good Manufacturing Practices.
