Job Title: Purchasing Manager
Location: Chattanooga, TN
Compensation: $115,000 - $140,000
Summary:
A leading industrial manufacturing organization is seeking a Purchasing Manager. This role involves managing procurement activities, planning, and inventory control to ensure efficient operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement procurement strategies to optimize cost and efficiency.
- Manage supplier relationships and negotiate contracts.
- Oversee inventory management and planning to ensure adequate supply levels.
- Utilize ERP systems for inventory, ordering, and tracking.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support business objectives.
- Monitor market trends and adjust procurement strategies accordingly.
Qualifications:
- BS/BA Degree; Advanced Degree in Procurement, Supply Chain Management, Finance, or related field preferred.
- ASCM or APICS certification preferred.
- 5+ years of progressive experience in procurement for global, process-driven companies.
- Planning and inventory management experience required.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and ERP systems, preferably Microsoft Dynamics AX.
