Key Responsibilities:
- Develop the scope of work, cost estimates, and schedules for capital projects and engineering studies.
- Generate ideas and propose projects to improve manufacturing performance.
- Manage detailed mechanical design and write construction bid packages.
- Evaluate and select process equipment and outside contract services.
- Review contractor field work, monitor safe work practices, and issue work permits.
- Prepare capital RACE's, including HS&E evaluations and MOC reports.
- Prepare purchase requisitions, plant work orders, and monthly cost/project status reports.
- Provide assistance to plant personnel and outside contractors to troubleshoot problems.
- Provide start-up assistance on capital projects.
Required Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, preferably mechanical or chemical.
- 10 or more years of engineering experience in a manufacturing environment; chemical experience is a plus.
