POSITION SUMMARY
A Fortune 500 ingredient manufacturer is looking to bring on a Project/Process Engineer at their facility in Sioux City. The Engineer will drive improvement through a detailed understanding of sanitary equipment, systems, and the factors that influence their efficiency. This role supports safe, daily plant operations through troubleshooting, technical assistance, and the execution of capital projects. Additionally, the Engineer identifies improvement opportunities, successfully enacts changes to strategically lower production costs, boost productivity, and reduce waste.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Analyze processes and recommend operational improvements or capital investments to enhance efficiency, asset life, and quality
- Design, manage, and execute capital projects within budget and on schedule, collaborating with cross-functional teams for optimal outcomes
- Support EHS&S and Quality initiatives by redesigning processes to reduce injury and property damage while implementing lean manufacturing practices
- Drive continuous improvement projects focused on equipment reliability, cost-saving measures, and overall productivity enhancements
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or other related field + 1-7 years of proven experience as a Project Engineer/Engineer or similar role
- Demonstrated engineering experience in industrial or heavily regulated manufacturing settings
- Strong communication, organization, and leadership skills, fostering teamwork, collaboration, and proactive continuous improvement
- Ability to mentor and upskill team members, supporting a positive work culture and ensuring adaptability to change
