We are looking for a motivated and driven individual to join our team as a Production Supervisor within our Manufacturing division. This role provides leadership to ensure smooth operations, focusing on process improvements, performance metrics, and meeting production standards. The ideal candidate will be hands-on, confident, and an independent self-starter who is eager to develop their career in operations management. This role oversees daily operations including safety, quality control, production output, logistics, and maintenance while driving lean implementation and continuous improvement initiatives.
The Production Supervisor is responsible for effectively managing the team, ensuring safety, optimizing production, and fostering a culture of engagement and growth.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the production operations in the designated department, ensuring all safety, quality, and productivity standards are met.
- Manage resources efficiently to achieve department goals in safety, quality, and production.
- Identify and implement best practices in operations, conducting audits, and participating in continuous improvement events such as Kaizen.
- Utilize data reports to assess performance and make informed operational decisions.
- Oversee and control operational expenses, including raw materials and supplies.
- Maintain appropriate staffing levels and provide training and development for production employees and supervisors.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and environmental standards.
- Develop and plan strategies to maximize personnel efficiency and resource utilization.
- Lead, train, and motivate the team to achieve production objectives and foster a safe and productive work environment.
- Promote a culture of continuous improvement, encouraging feedback and suggestions for operational enhancements.
- Administer company policies and procedures consistently and fairly.
- Train new employees on safety protocols and company policies.
- Prepare and maintain daily reports on production, overtime, and downtime.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree preferred.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to resolve practical issues.
- Solid understanding of lean manufacturing principles, continuous improvement, and process optimization.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
- Demonstrated leadership abilities and alignment with business objectives.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to lift up to 15 pounds and wear required safety gear in varied conditions (heat, cold, noise, etc.).
Preferred Qualifications:
- Familiarity with OSHA and environmental regulations.
- Strong ability to interpret safety, operational, and procedural documents.
- Certification in Six Sigma (Green or Black Belt).
