The Production Supervisor will oversee the daily operations of our chemical manufacturing plant. This role is crucial in ensuring that production processes run smoothly, efficiently, and safely while maintaining high standards of quality and compliance. The Production Supervisor will lead a team of production operators and work closely with other departments to achieve production targets
Responsibilities:
- Supervise and coordinate the activities of production staff to ensure efficient operations.
- Conduct regular inspections of equipment and processes to ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies.
- Provide Incident Command and lead emergency response efforts during non-business hours.
- Troubleshoot process and mechanical systems.
- Provide training and daily guidance to chemical operators and mechanics during off-hours.
- Assist with maintaining and updating unit operating procedures.
- Communicate with plant management on the status of EHS, operations, security, and logistics during off-hours.
- Focus on continuous improvement and process enhancements.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of production experience in petroleum/chemical manufacturing.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience as a supervisor.
- Strong knowledge of chemical manufacturing processes and equipment.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to build effective relationships with customers and co-workers.
- Ability to make critical decisions while following company procedures.
