A global provider of high-performance thermoplastic components, specialising in manufacturing and supplying parts for the automotive and transportation industries is looking for a Procurement Team Lead to join their growing company.
They have been playing a fundamental role in the plastics and manufacturing industry since their beginnings 85 years ago, and have upheld their long history of innovation and adaptation to present day.
You would be responsible for leading a small team of 3, purchasing components with accordance to upcoming projects and subsequently growing the Purchasing team.
Key responsibilities:
- Leadership and further development of the project purchasing and product group management team
- Establishment and expansion of a quality and cost-efficient supplier portfolio and development of modern procurement methods
- Participation in optimization and cross-plant projects
- Negotiation and conclusion of supply and framework contracts for new international projects
- Monitoring compliance with project budgets for the purchasing department
- Identification, preparation and implementation of cost optimisation projects within the product group
- Development and implementation of the respective commodity group strategy
- Permanent improvement and optimisation of internal organisational processes, work processes and procedures
Your skills:
- Completed basic business or technical training or studies
- Relevant several years of professional experience
- very good MS Office knowledge
SAP knowledge is an advantage - Proficient in German and English
- Very high level of communication and coordination skills
- Assertiveness as well as the ability to deal with conflict and reach consensus
- Customer-oriented actions (internal & external) and a high level of quality awareness
- Willingness to take on responsibility
- Travelling
