A multinational FMCG company is recruiting a new Procurement Manager, Packaging and Raw Materials to join the team.
The Procurement Manager is responsible for managing procurement activities across multiple European locations. This role bridges the gap between local procurement operations and higher-level strategic procurement, ensuring optimal sourcing, cost efficiency, and compliance with the company's procurement policies.
The Procurement Manager will oversee specific product categories, drive supplier relationships, prospect on new supplier or products and ensure procurement practices align with the company's overall business objectives and sustainability goals.
As Procurement Manager, you will be responsible for
- Implement and manage the Group's procurement strategy across European plants and business units.
- Lead procurement activities for assigned product categories (e.g., raw materials, industrial equipment), ensuring supply chain efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
- Negotiate and manage contracts with both local and international suppliers, focusing on cost, quality, and delivery times.
- Support regional plants by providing expertise and advice on sourcing and procurement strategies
- Develop and maintain strategic partnerships with key suppliers, fostering long-term, reliable relationships.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (e.g., Operations, Quality, and Development) to ensure the alignment on strategies, project goals, and procurement of innovative solutions and materials.
What the business needs:
- 10-15 years of experience in Procurement in the plastic industry, ideally in packaging.
- Experience in a global industrial company; responsible for international Procurement.
- Proven experience managing procurement activities across multiple European locations.
- Experience in supplier negotiations and managing supplier relationships at an international level.
