RESPONSIBILITIES:
The primary goal of this position is to integrate non-centralized procurement areas into the centralized procurement operating model. Target areas include Indirect Services, Human Resources, Information Technology, Premiums, and Research & Development, which have historically been managed by functional groups without procurement involvement.
- Collaborate with consultants and VP-level stakeholders to develop strategies, ensure internal alignment, and establish a framework for future category management.
- Partner to develop and implement strategies for multiple spend categories, potentially ranging from $600M to $1B.
- Create frameworks and strategies for new procurement areas within the centralized model.
- Work with external consultants and senior internal stakeholders to align on engagement and cost-saving projects.
- Negotiate complex contracts with key suppliers.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Required:
- Bachelor's degree in a technical field such as Engineering, Operations Management, Supply Chain Management, or a related hard science.
- Extensive procurement and business knowledge, demonstrated by previous category management in Direct Materials and Indirect Services.
- Strong core procurement skills and stakeholder engagement abilities.

- Minimum of 10 years of experience in Procurement or Supply Chain, leading category improvements.
- Proven leadership skills with the ability to work independently and with cross-functional teams.

- Strong problem-solving, decision-making, and negotiation skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Must be a U.S. citizen, national, lawful permanent resident, or have authorization to work in the U.S.

Preferred:
- Experience in technology contracting.
