Procurement Manager (EMEA) - FMCG & Packaging Industry - Passau, Germany (Hybrid Working)
On behalf of our client, a leading global FMCG and packaging company, we are seeking a highly skilled Procurement Manager to join their team in Passau, Germany. This is a hybrid position offering the flexibility of working from home three days per week, with the remaining time at the office in Passau.

As the Procurement Manager, you will be responsible for leading procurement activities across multiple sites, driving strategic initiatives, and optimizing supplier relationships to contribute to the overall success and growth of the business.
Key Responsibilities:
- Growth Support: Drive business growth by collaborating with sales teams to address potential bottlenecks in operations and ensure smooth workflows at the site level.
- Contract Negotiation: Negotiate and manage service contracts with local vendors, ensuring the best possible terms for the business.
- Procurement Strategy Execution: Implement global and regional procurement strategies at the Passau site, aligning with company goals and objectives.
- Cost Optimization: Lead cost-saving initiatives by identifying opportunities for continuous improvement in procurement processes.
- Dual Sourcing Implementation: Oversee dual sourcing strategies to ensure supply chain resilience and mitigate risks.
- Vendor Engagement: Organize and lead vendor meetings to resolve procurement and quality issues while maintaining strong supplier relationships.
- CAPEX Oversight: Manage CAPEX investments, ensuring timely delivery and full compliance with site operations.
- Savings Reporting: Provide regular updates to project managers on savings performance and track progress.
- Local Spend Oversight: Manage local procurement activities to prevent unauthorized purchasing and ensure compliance with company policies.
- Energy Management: Represent the site in global energy management efforts, tracking and analyzing energy market trends in South Germany.
- Compliance and Payment Terms: Ensure vendor payment terms are adhered to and negotiate favorable terms with local suppliers.
- Price Control: Collaborate with the procurement team to manage and negotiate price increases, ensuring competitive pricing.
- Inflation Management: Assist with tracking inflation-related changes and provide relevant updates to stakeholders.
- Operational Support: Serve as the point of contact between operations and vendors, addressing procurement-related issues as needed.

Your Profile:
- Proven experience in procurement or supply chain management, ideally within FMCG or packaging industries.
- Strong skills in vendor management, cost-saving initiatives, and contract negotiation.
- Ability to manage dual sourcing strategies and navigate complex procurement challenges.
- Knowledge of energy management, particularly in South Germany.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
