Job Description:
The MRO Sourcing Manager plays a critical role in optimizing procurement processes, controlling costs, and ensuring the availability of essential resources to support ongoing operations and maintenance activities within the organization.
Responsibilities:
Sourcing and Procurement: Identify, evaluate, and select suppliers for MRO goods and services. Negotiate contracts and agreements to ensure favorable terms, pricing, and quality standards.
Supplier Relationship Management: Develop and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers. Monitor supplier performance, resolve issues, and implement improvement initiatives to ensure reliability and efficiency in the supply chain.
Inventory Management: Implement inventory control processes to optimize stock levels while minimizing carrying costs and ensuring availability of critical items. Coordinate with stakeholders to forecast demand and plan procurement activities accordingly.
Cost Reduction Initiatives: Identify opportunities to reduce costs through process improvements, supplier consolidation, value engineering, and negotiation strategies. Implement cost-saving initiatives while maintaining quality and service levels.
Compliance and Risk Management: Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements. Assess and mitigate risks related to supply chain disruptions, quality issues, and contractual obligations.
Data Analysis and Reporting: Analyze procurement data, performance metrics, and market trends to identify opportunities for improvement and support decision-making processes. Prepare reports and presentations to communicate findings and recommendations to senior management.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including maintenance, operations, finance, and engineering teams, to understand requirements, prioritize needs, and align procurement activities with organizational objectives.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, business administration, engineering, or related field. Master's degree or professional certification (e.g., CPSM, CSCP) is a plus.
Proven experience in procurement, sourcing, or supply chain management, with specific expertise in MRO categories.
Strong negotiation skills and ability to develop effective supplier relationships.
Solid understanding of inventory management principles, demand planning, and supply chain best practices.
Proficiency in data analysis tools and ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) for procurement and inventory management.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, manage multiple priorities, and drive results.
Knowledge of regulatory requirements and industry standards related to MRO procurement and supply chain management.
Experience in implementing continuous improvement initiatives and cost-saving projects.
Flexibility to travel and work with global suppliers, if required.
