Manufacturing Engineer - CNC
The Manufacturing Engineer - CNC optimizes manufacturing processes with a strong focus on CNC programming, machining, and production efficiency. This role enhances fabrication methods, tooling, and quality control while ensuring seamless production workflows.
Key Responsibilities:
- CNC Programming & Optimization - Develop, debug, and refine CNC programs for machining operations.
- Process Improvement - Analyze and implement enhancements to machining and fabrication processes.
- Manufacturing Support - Troubleshoot CNC programming, tooling, and process issues.
- Lean Manufacturing - Lead Kaizen events, mistake-proofing (poka-yoke), and continuous improvement projects.
- Equipment & Tooling Management - Design and procure jigs, fixtures, and tooling to optimize CNC machining.
- Production Planning & Documentation - Create Manufacturing Process Sheets (MPS) and optimize facility layouts.
Qualifications:
Required:
- Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing, Mechanical, or Industrial Engineering.
- 3+ years of CNC machining and manufacturing experience.
- Proficiency in CNC programming, debugging, and optimization.
- Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, machining principles, and general machine shop practices.
- Experience with CAD software (SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or similar).
- Lean Manufacturing experience, including Kaizen events.
- Familiarity with ISO 9000 standards.
Preferred:
- 5+ years of CNC and manufacturing engineering experience.
- Six Sigma Green Belt or higher.
- ERP system experience (Epicor or similar).
