Responsibilities:
- Make departmental decisions regarding maintenance management.
- Develop an understanding of equipment and manufacturing processes.
- Train and supervise mechanics, electricians, plumbers, and other skilled trades.
- Provide technical and engineering advice for facilities performance improvement.
- Utilize a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
- Use CAD for information gathering and designing equipment alterations.
- Select vendors for equipment purchases.
- Troubleshoot mechanical processes.
- Install and start-up new equipment and processes.
- Develop creative ideas to reduce costs.
- Supervise equipment design changes.
- Monitor and control energy use.
- Research and justify alteration requests.
- Negotiate and oversee contract work.
- Plan, authorize, delegate, and follow-up on maintenance work orders.
- Schedule preventive maintenance for equipment.
- Ensure safety and security of the physical plant and facilities.
- Complete administrative work and communicate department projects with plant management.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 3 years of maintenance engineering experience.
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Technology, Engineering Technology, Electrical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Agriculture Engineering, or a related field.
- Innovative with strong technical and mechanical knowledge.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and leadership skills.
- Must be a U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident, or have authorization to work in the U.S.
