Inventory Management Specialist
Location: Hamburg, Germany (hybrid working available)
Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced **Inventory Management Specialist** to join our dynamic team in Hamburg. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient management of inventory across the entire supply chain, helping us maintain the highest standards of product availability, compliance, and quality.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and oversee inventory levels, ensuring accuracy and sufficiency to meet production and distribution needs.
- Implement and optimize inventory management processes, including stock control, procurement, and demand forecasting.
- Coordinate with the purchasing, manufacturing, and logistics teams to ensure timely and cost-effective inventory replenishment.
- Monitor and report on stock levels, discrepancies, and any obsolete or excess inventory.
- Utilize inventory management software (ERP systems) to track and manage inventory data.
- Analyze and provide insights on inventory trends, recommending improvements for efficiency and cost reduction.
- Collaborate with quality control and regulatory teams to ensure product integrity and adherence to industry standards.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or related field or equivalent
- 3 years of experience in inventory management, supply chain management or planning (preferably within the medical device or healthcare industry)
- Strong knowledge of inventory management software (ERP/MRP systems) ideally SAP, S/4 Hana experience being a plus.
- Familiarity with industry regulations and compliance standards for medical devices (e.g., ISO 13485, MDR).
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Strong communication and collaboration abilities, with a proactive and solution-oriented mindset.
- Proficiency in both German and English.
