As part of their growth strategy in Germany, they are seeking a dynamic and experienced Head of Sales to drive local organic growth, lead a growing sales team, and further establish the company's presence in the DACH market.
Role Overview:
As Head of Sales for the DACH region, you will be responsible for developing and executing the sales strategy to increase market share, drive business development, and expand key accounts. You will play a key role in building and leading a team, fostering a high-performance culture, and aligning sales efforts with the company's broader strategic objectives. This is both a hands-on and strategic leadership role, ideal for a sales leader who thrives in a fast-paced, growing environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Sales Leadership: Lead, mentor, and inspire a sales team to achieve ambitious growth targets in the German market, with a focus on both new business development and key account management.
- Business Development: Proactively identify and develop new business opportunities across various sectors, diversifying the company's portfolio and increasing market share.
- Account Management: Manage and nurture key client relationships, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction and identifying opportunities for cross-selling and up-selling.
- Strategy Development: Work closely with the senior leadership team to develop and implement sales strategies that align with the company's objectives for growth in Germany and beyond, particularly focusing on strengthening the position in the DACH market.
- Market Insights: Analyse market trends and customer needs to ensure the company remains competitive and can respond to emerging opportunities and threats.
- Team Growth: Support the development of the sales team, providing guidance, training, and resources to enhance team performance, and recruiting top talent to expand the team as needed.
- Collaborative Approach: Work closely with other departments, including operations, marketing, and customer service, to ensure seamless execution of sales plans and delivery of customer promises.
Qualifications:
- Experience: Minimum 5 years of commercial leadership experience in the construction or home improvement industry, ideally with experience working on B2B & B2B2C sales.
- Proven Track Record: Demonstrated success in growing sales, building relationships, and leading high-performing sales teams.
- Leadership Skills: Ability to inspire and develop a team, fostering a culture of performance, accountability, and collaboration.
- Language Skills: Fluency in both English and German is essential.
- Location: Open to candidates across Germany, but preference for candidates based in North-Rhine Westphalia
- Business Development Expertise: Ability to drive business development efforts and build a diversified client portfolio, while maintaining and developing strong relationships with existing key accounts.
