Our client is seeking a Head of Procurement to lead the team in developing and implementing procurement strategies aligned with the organization's goals.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement procurement strategies to optimize cost savings and operational efficiency.
- Identify and evaluate potential vendors and suppliers based on quality, price, and reliability.
- Negotiate contracts and agreements with vendors to secure favorable terms and conditions.
- Oversee the procurement process, including requisition, sourcing, purchasing, and delivery.
- Monitor supplier performance and resolve any issues or disputes that may arise.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand their procurement needs and requirements.
- Stay abreast of market trends, economic factors, and regulatory changes that may impact procurement.
- Lead and mentor the procurement team, providing guidance and support to achieve departmental goals.
- Establish a supplier scorecard system, develop vendor approval processes and onboarding procedures, and administer regular business reviews
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
- 10+ years of progressive procurement and leadership experience
- Experience sourcing for disposable products and maintains relationships with relevant suppliers
- Proven track record of success in a manufacturing or distribution environment
- Demonstrated effective communication and organizational skills.
- Proficiency in procurement software and tools
- Deep understanding of supply chain management principles
