The Engineering Director will be responsible for:
- Leadership & Strategy: Develop and implement engineering strategies that align with company goals, ensuring the highest standards of quality and efficiency.
- Team Management: Build, lead, and mentor a high-performing engineering team, with a focus on growth, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
- Project Oversight: Manage all phases of engineering projects, from design to production, ensuring on-time and on-budget delivery.
- Collaboration: Coordinate with product development, production, and other departments to ensure cohesive execution across all functions.
- Innovation: Drive continuous improvements in design, testing, and production to enhance product performance, cost-effectiveness, and sustainability.
- Compliance: Ensure adherence to safety and environmental regulations, and compliance with local and international engineering standards.
- Budget Management: Plan and manage departmental budgets, optimizing resources to support strategic objectives.
The Engineering Director should have the following qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Automotive Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
- 10+ years of experience in automotive engineering, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role.
- Strong knowledge of automotive systems, safety standards, and production processes.
- Experience with lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, and process improvement methodologies.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
- Fluent in English and German (both written and spoken).
