Overview: In this role, supply planning is the cornerstone of the end-to-end supply chain planning process. While there are specialized planners working in each functional area across the supply chain - including demand planners, supply schedulers, and material planners - it's the responsibility of the Global Supply Chain Planner to integrate all these plans and ensure product availability to meet market demand. You will dynamically set target stock levels to meet future demand, while local supply chain teams manage the short-term horizon by predicting the effects of changes in production, interruptions, machine breakdowns, scraps, and other factors.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop the mid to long-term production plan (2-24 months horizon) to deliver a Supply Network Plan that ensures product availability across the global network, considering optimization of capacity and manufacturing costs.
- Conduct Root Cause Analysis and develop Mitigation Plans through engagement with cross-functional teams.
- Ensure the Supply Network Plan aligns with approved stock targets and drive inventory performance and working capital optimization to reduce overall supply chain costs.
- Focus on the completeness and accuracy of Master Data to drive precision through planning systems (e.g., OMP, SAP).
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, business administration, or a related field. APICS certification is a plus.
- Experience in production planning within a large, complex multi-site organization and proficiency with advanced supply chain planning software and tools.
- Knowledge of planning and inventory management principles
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and KPIs.
- Ability to develop effective collaborations across different levels of the organization.
- Fluency in English; proficiency in Dutch is desirable.
