The Global Procurement Specialist - Combustion will be responsible for managing the sourcing, procurement, and supplier relationships for combustion-related products, including components for industrial burners, combustion systems, heating technologies, and related equipment. This role requires a deep understanding of combustion technology, power/energy industry, strong negotiation skills, and the ability to manage a global supply chain network. Key Responsibilities
- Global Sourcing Strategy: Develop and execute global sourcing strategies for combustion-related components and systems, ensuring alignment with the company's quality, cost, and delivery requirements.
- Supplier Management: Identify, evaluate, and establish strategic relationships with suppliers in the combustion sector, including raw material suppliers, manufacturers, and OEMs.
- Project Management: Oversee and manage sourcing-related projects from inception to completion, ensuring timelines, budgets, and specifications are met. Collaborate with internal teams and suppliers to ensure timely delivery and successful project execution.
- Market Research & Trends: Conduct market analysis to stay informed of global trends in combustion technologies, materials, and components. Stay ahead of industry innovations and integrate this knowledge into sourcing decisions.
- Negotiation & Cost Management: Lead negotiations with suppliers to achieve competitive pricing, favorable terms, and cost-saving opportunities while maintaining high-quality standards.
- Risk Management: Identify potential risks in the supply chain and collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement risk mitigation strategies, ensuring continuity of supply for critical combustion-related components.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with engineering, product development, and quality teams to ensure that sourced components meet technical specifications and performance standards.
- Supplier Performance Management: Continuously monitor supplier performance, including quality, delivery, and cost metrics, and take corrective actions where necessary.
- Sustainability Initiatives: Support the company's sustainability goals by sourcing environmentally friendly and energy-efficient products and promoting suppliers with sustainable practices.
- Global Supply Chain Coordination: Coordinate sourcing activities across multiple regions and time zones, ensuring alignment with production schedules, inventory requirements, and company goals.
- Contract Management: Manage contract negotiations and agreements with suppliers, ensuring clear terms around lead times, quality, warranties, and compliance with regulatory requirements.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field. A master's degree is a plus.
- 3+ years of experience in global sourcing, procurement, or supply chain management, ideally with a focus on combustion technology or industrial equipment.
- Strong understanding of combustion systems, including burners, heat exchangers, fuel systems, and related technologies.
- Proven track record of sourcing and managing suppliers for complex technical products or systems.
- Familiarity with international procurement processes, trade regulations, and logistics management.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to manage relationships with key stakeholders and suppliers.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a data-driven approach to sourcing and decision-making.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with cross-functional teams across different regions.
- Proficiency in sourcing and procurement software tools (ERP, SAP, or similar systems) and Microsoft Office suite.
