Our client, a leading global automotive group with over 100k employees, is seeking to hire an expert in export control and SAP GTS to be sitting in a global projects team, reporting to the legal function. The position offers 60% remote flexibility and can be situated in several locations in Southern Germany. As the successful candidate you will be responsible for ensuring adherence to all relevant export control regulations while also overseeing the rollout of SAP GTS 4/HANA globally.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in economics, preferably with a focus on foreign trade/export control, or comparable training
- Significant experience working with international trade processes
- Proven expertise using & implementing SAP-GTS (Global Trade Services) software
- Several years' expert experience in export control
- Fluency in English & very good German skills
- Expertise in the area of โโGerman, European and international export control law and the corresponding implementation in SAP systems and SAP GTS
Responsibilities:
- Providing guidance on import/export laws/regulations/policies per country/state/local law
- Working closely with cross-functional teams such as legal counsel/sales team/internal audit/compliance department etc., regarding any risks associated w/trading activities/goods/components/materials/services
- Managing documentation required under customs/border protection mandates; advising internal stakeholders/vendors/carriers about changes/amendments needed from time-to-time due various government bodies' decisions/actions
- Definition of export control compliance specifications for implementation in SAP GTS together with the corporate and regional export control experts and
managers
-Participation in interdisciplinary projects to integrate export controls into business processes and implementation in the ERP systems and SAP GTS
