Role Overview:
As the Global Category Manager for Metal Stamping, you will play a pivotal role in driving the global procurement strategy for metal components and stamping processes. You will be responsible for managing supplier relationships, optimizing costs, ensuring quality, and driving innovation across our client's supply chain. This role requires a strategic thinker with strong leadership skills and deep expertise in the metal and stamping industries.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute a global category strategy for metal and stamping that aligns with our client's overall business objectives and sustainability goals.
- Lead and manage a global team of category professionals, ensuring alignment and collaboration across regions.
- Identify and build strategic partnerships with key suppliers, negotiating contracts and ensuring the best terms for our client.
- Drive cost optimization initiatives without compromising quality, safety, or sustainability standards.
- Monitor market trends, technological advancements, and competitive dynamics to proactively identify risks and opportunities.
- Collaborate closely with R&D, engineering, and manufacturing teams to support new product development and ensure alignment on material specifications and sourcing strategies.
- Implement best practices in procurement, risk management, and supplier performance evaluation.
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and company policies.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field; Master's preferred.
- 7-10 years of experience in global category management, specifically in metal and stamping.
- Strong negotiation, leadership, and strategic thinking skills.
- Deep industry knowledge and a commitment to sustainability.
