Summary: The FSQA Manager will ensure compliance with all applicable federal, state, local, and company food safety and quality assurance requirements. This role will also maintain compliance with food safety regulations, including recordkeeping, filing of reports, updating HACCP plans, and overseeing sanitation programs.
The FSQA Manager should have the following skill set:
* BS/BA in Food Science, Microbiology, or a related degree, or equivalent work experience.
* 3+ years of experience in Food Safety and Quality Assurance in a food and beverage manufacturing environment is preferred.
* Prior experience working with FDA, USDA, and other regulatory requirements is preferred.
The FSQA Manager will:
* Provide analytical-based expertise such as sample collection, lab analysis data interpretation, and data reporting/submission to address FSQA needs.
* Assist with planning, establishing, implementing, and maintaining a variety of food safety and quality assurance programs.
* Maintain compliance calendar (database) as it relates to the job function.
* Assist in self-audits of the FSQA management system.
* Perform safety-related risk assessments and Job Hazard Analyses.
* Assist with maintaining compliance with HACCP and other food safety programs, including internal compliance audits and Process Hazards Analysis.
* Participate in Root Cause Investigations, and as applicable, lead the investigation.
