Job Title: Facilities Manager
Position Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Facilities Manager to oversee the management of our corporate buildings, structures, facility grounds, and non-IT infrastructure. The Facilities Manager will develop, implement, and manage business strategies to optimize plant resources, ensuring cleanliness, compliance with building codes, and the overall safety of employees and guests. The successful candidate will lead a dedicated facilities team, driving continuous improvement initiatives, executing preventative maintenance strategies, and managing building security policies.
Measures of Success:
- Plans and executes facilities capital expenditures budget.
- Achieves key performance indicators for preventative maintenance.
- Manages expenses to budget.
Responsibilities:
- Develops and implements action plans, processes, and standards to achieve building and facilities goals.
- Oversees maintenance, repair, and renovation of corporate buildings and infrastructure.
- Manages construction for facility renovations, ensuring timely completion within budget.
- Develops and manages energy strategy, optimizing electricity and gas costs.
- Operates property efficiently regarding utilities, energy, preventative maintenance, and special projects.
- Implements and manages contracts for facility equipment, maintenance, and outsourced services.
- Leads preventative maintenance strategy for manufacturing and facilities.
- Establishes and maintains standard operating procedures for facilities.
- Manages building security, fire systems, and alarms.
People Management:
- Evaluates team members, identifies strengths and opportunities for improvement.
- Coaches and mentors for skill and knowledge development.
- Ensures team adheres to company policies, practices, and standards.
- Assigns actions and ensures completion.
- Reviews work quality and coaches the team.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Facilities Management, Operations Management, or Mechanical Engineering.
- 10 years of diverse facility management operations experience, preferably in manufacturing.
- 7+ years of managerial or supervisory experience.
- Experience with a computerized maintenance management system (CMMS); Limble software experience a plus.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).
- Strong interpersonal, organizational, leadership, and management skills.
- Knowledge of OSHA regulations, environmental health, and safety guidelines, building and fire codes.
Work Environment:
This position primarily works in a production floor environment. Safety gear is required in designated areas. The role reports to the site daily, with the potential for ad hoc remote work.
Management:
This position oversees approximately 10 direct reports, including roles such as Supervisor, Maintenance; Lead Electrician; Maintenance Mechanic Facility; Maintenance Mechanic B; Heavy Cleaner; Cleaner; and General Utility Worker.
