Position Summary: The Engineering Project Manager position is with a leading industrial equipment supplier for automotive, agricultural, metallurgical, oil & gas, and other markets. This hands-on role involves leading a team of engineers and designers, managing resources, and ensuring timely completion of large projects and custom-engineered solutions. You'll work closely with sales and project management teams, overseeing design, prototyping, testing, and supporting commissioning activities. This position is designed to incorporate leadership and technical responsibilities while being supported by a company known for innovation and customer satisfaction.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Manage a group of engineers and designers, allocating resources and ensuring timely completion of projects, including Engineering Change Order, large projects, and custom-engineered solutions
- Coordinate with sales and project management teams to manage workloads and ensure project timelines are met, including leading technical reviews and risk assessments for quotations and large contracts
- Oversee the development and implementation of custom-engineered solutions, including designing, modeling, prototyping, evaluation, testing, and adherence to design and quality practices
- Build application and product knowledge by developing design standards and supporting research and development activities, including creating designs of experiments and improving the quality of engineering outputs
- Supervise and lead a team of engineers and designers, conduct interviews, hire, train, performance evaluations, and ensure compliance with organizational policies and applicable laws
REQUIREMENTS
- S in Mechanical Engineering
- A Mechanical PE or EIT
- Ability to manage long project timelines and maintain a high level of productivity
