Job Summary:
A leading multinational in the food industry is seeking a Regional Electrical & Instrumentation Engineer to support multiple manufacturing sites across Europe. This is a high-impact role focused on improving plant reliability, safety, efficiency, and compliance across electrical and instrumentation systems. As part of a specialised technical team, you will drive best practices and innovative solutions across multiple locations in a dynamic, growing business.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure compliance with industry standards, safety & environmental regulations, and best practices.
- Conduct technical assessments to identify improvement opportunities and support sites in closing gaps.
- Develop and implement preventive & predictive maintenance strategies for E&I assets.
- Define and track reliability metrics and KPIs to enhance plant performance.
- Provide technical support to site E&I teams and develop improvement plans.
- Lead Root Cause Analysis investigations for plant improvement initiatives.
- Align capital planning and maintenance budgets with strategic plant objectives.
- Serve as the electrical SME, conducting site inspections, reviewing technical documentation, and defining standards.
- Evaluate technical skills of site teams, provide training, and act as a mentor.
Your Profile:
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Electrical & Instrumentation (E&I) or a related field.
- 7+ years of experience in electrical or instrumentation systems within an industrial/manufacturing environment.
- Strong expertise in predictive and preventive maintenance for E&I equipment.
- Familiarity with international IEC/IEEE standards and country-specific regulations.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to manage external contractors.
- Experience working in multicultural, multidisciplinary teams (both local and remote).
- Proficiency in English; additional European languages (French, German, Dutch) are a plus.
- Willingness to travel occasionally within Europe.
- Ability to adapt to a fast-paced business environment and stay up to date with new technologies.
