Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced EHS/Facilities Manager to oversee our environmental, health, and safety programs, as well as the management of our facility operations. This dual role involves ensuring compliance with EHS regulations, maintaining a safe and sustainable work environment, and optimizing facility functions to support organizational goals.
Key Responsibilities:
EHS Management:
- Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive EHS policies and procedures.
- Conduct regular safety audits, risk assessments, and inspections to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
- Provide training and support to employees on EHS practices, emergency procedures, and hazard recognition.
- Investigate incidents and accidents, prepare reports, and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
- Monitor and report on EHS performance metrics and compliance status to management.
Facilities Management:
- Oversee day-to-day facility operations, ensuring a safe and efficient working environment.
- Manage maintenance and repair programs for all facility systems, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and security.
- Coordinate facility upgrades, renovations, and space planning in collaboration with relevant stakeholders.
- Develop and manage the facilities budget, ensuring cost-effective operations.
- Liaise with vendors and contractors for facility services, negotiating contracts and ensuring quality work.
Sustainability Initiatives:
- Lead sustainability initiatives aimed at reducing the organization's environmental footprint.
- Monitor energy usage and implement programs to promote energy efficiency and waste reduction.
- Educate staff on sustainable practices and encourage participation in sustainability programs.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Facilities Management, Occupational Safety, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in EHS management and facilities management.
- Strong knowledge of EHS regulations, standards, and best practices.
- Proven experience in facilities maintenance and management.
- Excellent organizational, leadership, and communication skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and facilities management software.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., NEBOSH, OSHA, Certified Facility Manager) are preferred.
