The Director of Project Management will lead the project management team, ensuring successful execution of product development and NPI processes. This role requires extensive experience in managing cross-functional teams, delivering projects on time and within budget, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and mentor the project management team, promoting best practices in product development and NPI.
- Develop and implement project management methodologies and tools to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
- Collaborate with R&D, engineering, quality assurance, regulatory affairs, and marketing to align project goals and timelines.
- Oversee the entire product lifecycle, from concept through development, testing, and market launch.
- Establish project timelines, budgets, and resource allocation; monitor progress and adjust as necessary.
- Identify potential project risks and develop mitigation strategies to ensure successful delivery.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements throughout the product development process.
- Facilitate regular project status meetings and communicate updates to senior management and stakeholders.
- Drive a culture of innovation and accountability within the project management team.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field; MBA preferred.
- 10+ years of experience in project management within the medical device industry, with a focus on product development and NPI.
- Proven track record of managing complex projects and leading cross-functional teams.
- Strong understanding of regulatory requirements and quality standards in the medical device sector (e.g., FDA, ISO).
- Excellent organizational, leadership, and communication skills.
- Proficient in project management software and tools (e.g., Microsoft Project, JIRA, Asana).
- PMP or similar project management certification is highly desirable.
