Title: Director of Transportation
Location: Plymouth, MN (On-site)
Salary: $120,000-$140,000 + Bonus + Benefits
A leading Food & Beverage company is seeking a Director of Transportation. The successful candidate will be responsible for engaging with leaders and associates, ensuring excellent customer service, and maintaining safe & profitable operations. The Director of Transportation will guide the department's strategy and ensure timely, accurate outbound shipments.
Responsibilities for the Director of Transportation:
- Achieve safety, service, and cost targets while overseeing transportation operations.
- Promote a safety-first culture to ensure injury-free interactions for associates.
- Develop Transportation Managers through coaching, training, and problem resolution.
- Oversee and develop drivers and personnel.
- Implement technology to improve productivity.
- Monitor production goals, ensure accuracy, and resolve delivery issues cost-effectively.
- Develop efficient processes, identify improvements, and reduce costs.
- Eliminate waste and enhance safety and efficiency.
- Analyze performance metrics and recommend changes to achieve productivity goals.
Requirements for the Director of Transportation:
- Bachelor's Degree preferred.
- 7+ years of transportation experience, 5+ years of which include experience managing a team.
- Understanding of DOT, OSHA, and other regulatory requirements.
- Strong leadership and people development skills.
